Traditional dating of the Apostolic Tradition, based on association with Hippolytus of Rome. But this assocition is by no means secure, and the work is much more likely an "aggregation of material from different sources, quite probably arising from different georaphical regions and almost certainly from different historical periods, from perhaps as early as the middle of the second century to as late as the middle of the fourth" (Bradshaw, "Search for the Origins of Christian Worship," 83).
