7/15 was an event that occurred on July 15th 2013 in Dallas, Texas. It marked the day a mutant rights march turned into a riot which resulted thousands of civilians' death by mutant powers, causing the public to view mutants as a threat to their safety.
7/15 started as a peaceful protest for mutant rights. Gunshots were heard off-screen and flashing lights were seen behind the trees.
Due to this event, the X-Men and the brotherhood of mutants disbanded.

The X-Men founded the Mutant Underground and appointed Thunderbird to be the leader of the Atlanta cell, they also sent Evangeline to a mental hospital where Lorna was hospitalized to convinced her to join the mutant underground.

anti-mutant laws were enacted.
