Hitler and other nationalists were angered by the conditions of the Treaty of Versailles. Hitler became a leader in the Nazi Party and united his listeners under the platform of Jewish hatred. The Nazi Party became the most powerful party in Germany. He was appointed Chancellor by the President. He removed any "democratic institution" remaining and revitalized the German military.
