John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry was an abolitionist movement in which a small group of men under the lead of John Brown, raided a federal amour in Harper's Ferry VA. John Brown and his five sons although they failed their raid, lit the flame for anti-slavery. This was an important event in separating the nation because he was the start to the abolitionist movement that would one day abolish slavery.
