Description:
- Charles I, after some persuasion from his wife Henrrietta Maria, goes to the commons with an armed force a demands the arrest of five members: John Pym, John Hampden, Denzil Holles, Sir Arthur Hesilrig and William Strode
- Te speaker protecting the mp's privileges said: "..I have neither eyes to see nor tongue to speak in this place but as this House is pleased to direct me."
- Charles seeing that the members had 'flown' said: 'I see the birds have flown'
