nov 10, 1596 - Abraham Ortelius and Alexander Von Humboldt first observed the puzzle fit of the coastlines of continents. Ortelius saw how the shapes of Africa and South America appeared to fit together, his and Von Humboldt's were the first piece of evidence that pieces of Earth's lithosphere moves. I used Article 1.
