Description:
Although the microscope was invented in 1590, it was not until 1666 that the microscope was developed enough to see bacteria and cells. One of the first people so see such microscopic beings was Anton Van Leeuwenhoek. Born in 1632 and died in 1723, Leeuwenhoek was mainly as a self-taught man. Leeuwenhoek is considered as the Father of Microbiology.
