jan 1, 1891 - Formation of the Pan-German League
Description:
This was a right-wing pressure group which, along with groups such as the Industrialists' League (1895), lobbied for the protection of domestic economic interests. Kaiser Wilhelm II allowed these groups to use their power (which derived from large memberships and positions within government) in the pursuit of 'Sammlungspolitik', which aimed to unite German parties behind 'Weltpolitik'.
