aug 21, 2019 - Core Platform – Reward Manager email delivery visibility

Description:

All of our transactional emails are sent from our email provider "Mail Gun". Emails that we send to our end users may not be delivered for multiple reasons:

1. Member is in a Bounce List - We have tried to deliver emails to this user but these emails were rejected hence we've added them to a bounce list to prevent us attempting to re-deliver these and in turn getting a bad rating.

2. Member is in a Complained List - We've sent emails to this user but they've marked these emails as Spam from their email client hence we've added them to the Complained List to prevent us sending emails further emails to this user.

3. Member is not in a suppression list but email deliveries are failing due to security restrictions on the clients side - Some clients have strict security rules that govern what emails can be received and unless our email provider is whitelisted this could result in emails not being delivered to the users mailbox.

Keeping the above in mind, we've now added a new section under each member profile called "Email Logs". In this section you can see last 50 emails that we've sent the user and their delivery status. You can also see if this member is in a complained list. You can also see if they are in a Bounce List and be able to remove them from the bounce list if all other options are checked. However, if removing the member from the bounce list and re-sending an email has not worked it is most likely that the issue lies with the clients email system and we should contact them with regards to that.
