Today for lunch, my friends and I decided to visit Wendy’s for lunch. Wendy’s in international company based out of the United States which sources its meat products from large meat producers in the U.S such as Tyson. This is an example of globalization through environmental factors. These large meat producers such as Tyson use “factory farms” to mass-produce to meat. These inhumane practices produce a lot of waste by products, since there are so many animals in a small space. This waste by-products release methane gas into the atmosphere which contributes to climate change and the fecal matter produced by the animals leak into the groundwater, making it more difficult to treat the water afterwards. This increase in energy use at waste-water management plants also produces more pollutants and increases the rate of global warming
