After checking my Hilroy notebook for the shopping list, I realized that I needed to go to H&M to buy a trench coat for my older sister. It originates from Sweden and operates in over 62 countries with over 4500 stores worldwide. The multinational company is famous for its cheap clothing made possible by cheap labour in foreign countries. They do not have any manufacturing plants but rather work with over 1900 independent suppliers from Asian countries. The globalization factors affecting this are economic because H&M is an extremely fruitful company based in a rich country while simultaneously benefitting from the cheap labour from poorer countries. However, globalization has also offered negative impacts on the environment as a result of the high demand.
