Later that day, I browsed my phone on my iPhone 8. Apple is one of the largest tech giants in the world. Founded in California, US, Apple is recognized internationally and is one of the most successful multinational corporations of all time. My entire family has used all Apple products over several years, first being popularized in around 2010. In 2018, Apple exported over $265 billion dollars worth of products to the world. The factors affecting this are cultural, from the spread of US products, economical, as the poor factory workers in China are grossly underpaid, and environmental, as the manufacture of iPhones is not great for the environment as e-waste is often created. Some countries that don’t have great trade relations with the US, such as North Korea, don’t have access to certain American products as a result of trade bans or sanctions. This is to influence certain countries into following rules imposed by international councils and thus, is also a political factor.
