I purchased a top at my local mall from a store called Dynamite. This shirt was made in Bangladesh and was approximately 25 Canadian dollars. It was a good purchase because it was was manufactured in a location where cheap labor is available. This is considered a cultural factor because many clothing items are designed and bought due to current trends around the world. Also this is a cultural factor because consumers nowadays are taking into consideration global issues such as poor working conditions. Cheap labour is beneficial for consumers and businesses, however, the individuals making the product may be subjected to poor working conditions and a low income.
