jul 19, 1848 - Seneca Falls Convention
Description:
This was significant because it was the start of the women's rights movement. From this meeting came the "Declaration of Stentiments", which called for equal rights and voting rights. As a whole, this caused more sectionalism in the country because at the time people did not support all equal rights or woman rights at all, therefore creating more division.
