jan 1, 1768 - John Dickinson
Description:
John Dickinson was a wealthy lawyer from Pennsylvania. He stated they should not be treated as slaves, and instead they are royal British subjects who deserve the full rights of British citizens. He wrote “Letters from a Farmer in Pennsylvania in 1768” which urged colonists to resist taxes. This served as a sign for resistance, and basically began the revolution for Independence.
