My family has these family friends that we have known each other for almost 10 years when they lived in London but now they have moved to San Francisco. Due to globalization, my parents and I were able to freely call them from the comfort of our home and ask them about how they were doing. We called them through our regular phone provider (Koodo) so all the international minutes we used were billed to us in Canadian dollars rather than American dollars so we didn't have to do any currency exchanges ourselves.
