feb 8, 1887 - Dawes Severalty Act was passed

Description:

This Act was meant to push native Americans off of their land onto reservations. With doing that they tried to make them become closer and as similar as the american society. They wanted them to leave the traditions and become a US citizen. The land that they where moved off of was sold to non-native americans.
