The Cuban Missile Crisis was a standoff between the Soviet Union and the United States after American Spy plane photographed Medium range SS-4 and immediate range R-14 ballistic missiles in Cuba. An agreement was made, and the missiles were taken out of Cuba. This is important today because it was one of the closest moments to an actual nuclear war with the Soviet Union.
