nov 20, 1459 - Parliament of Devils (1459)
Description:
Here the Lancastrians consolidated the victory they had secured at Ludford Bridge.
The Yorkist leaders were attained, meaning they were punished for treason, with there lands & titles been taken from them as well as being sentenced to death.
A total of 27 Yorkists were condemned as traitors, 6 of these were merely peers yet they still had their lands confiscated.
The significant part of this was that the heirs of these Yorkists were disinherited. As a result their children could not inherited any of the parents' estates.
This was considered a punishment too extreme even for treason.
Yorkist land was given to loyal subjects of the King.
