Description:
Warwick arrived at Ludlow with a force from Calais. There was a combined army of Yorkists ready to attack the King's army at Ludford Bridge. However, the men from Calais refused to fight the king and as a result, the now incredibly weak Yorkist army was defeated.
York and his son escaped & fled to Ireland while Salisbury, Warwick and Edward of March (later Edward IV) had all fled to Calais.
The Lancastrians had won this battle.
