Thanks for your e-mail.

Unfortunately using an e-commerce site for taking customer-present payments is a big no-no for PCI purposes. Whilst some companies do it, it is, as you put, “not ideal”.

You could use a card terminal to take payments controlled by a POS, even if the POS itself is bare-bones and only provides instruction to take a payment – and that POS can be web-based as well.
