jun 20, 1789 - Tennis Court Oath
Description:
After the abolition of traditional feudal rights and titles, the clergy and the king along with the rest of the nobility were forced to join the Third Estate. Without feudalism, the people needed to establish a governmental body that would lead the nation. They assembled in a tennis court in Paris and swore to stay until a constitution was established.
