Description:
On January 9, 1963, the Mohammad Reza Shah launched the "White Revolution" by introducing 6 of the 19 eventual elements that were introduced over a period of 16 years. The White Revolution was supposed to be a non-violent regeneration of Iran through economic and social reforms and initiated many heavy industry projects. It eventually came to an end in 1979 with high social tensions due to the redistribution of land.
