Under the 2015 Iranian Nuclear Agreement, Iran dismantled its nuclear programs and gave foreign countries access to its nuclear facilities in exchange for the relaxation of foreign economic sanctions. However, in 2018, President Donald Trump of the United States pulled out of the agreement and replaced sanctions on Iran.
