oct 10, 1963 - Test Ban Treaty
Description:
After the vivid illustration of nuclear danger displayed by the Cuban Missile Crisis, the nuclear powers had come to agreement that action should be taken to reduce such tensions. This is why they designed the Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty, in which nuclear weapon tests in the atmosphere, outer space, or underwater were banned. There were no reduced stockpiles, production still continued, and no limits on use in times of war. This was a time in which tensions were reduced.
