- There are obvious biases from the secret society because we, the non-members of the society have to believe everything that the members tell us about their meetings and practices since they are kept so secret. There is also the fact that the information we get tends to be from more recent members of the society which may be impeding their ability to get a good sense of what the society is actually about.
