Description:

Hoover dispatched Douglas McArthur and Dwight Eisenhower to clear veterans from federal buildings. Calvary units with fixed bayonets and machine guns marched on unarmed veterans. McArthur pursued the veterans and torched the camp and more than 100 people were injured.
