may 13, 1660 - English Restoration
Description:
The English Restoration took place when England transitioned from being a commonwealth back to being a monarchy. England sent a letter to Charles' son that invited him to be king, which was quite ironic, considering that England beheaded his father. Charles II accepted the offer, and England returned to being an Anglican Monarchy. Charles II got revenge on the Parliament members who tried and executed his father, so it all balanced out in the end. There was no blood, and no war during the Restoration.
