Description:

The Act of Tolerance was a religiously tolerant British document that was signed by King William and Queen Mary on May 24, 1689. It was part of the Glorious Revolution. The act allowed every religion to be practiced in England except Catholicism. It also said that there couldn't be any Catholic kings of England, so the king of England had to be Protestant from then on out.
