oct 31, 1517 - Martin Luther's 95 Theses
Description:
In 1517, Martin Luther went to Wittenberg Castle Church in Germany and nailed his 95 Theses to the church door. Back then, church doors were like community bulletin boards, and Luther wrote what he thought the flaws in the Catholic Church were in his theses. One of his main points was that he wanted the Catholic Church to stop selling indulgences. People read his work, and they began to wonder if what Luther was saying was actually accurate. Martin Luther became an important figure in the Protestant Revolution.
