Sligo Youth Theatre is for members aged 10-18. Started as a pilot project in 1998 and was run by the Sligo arts office until 2002. They operate subsidised outings to plays and shows, in conjunction with local theatres and Youth Theatre Ireland.Sligo Youth Theatre isaffiliated to Youth Theatre Ireland and avail of all training, Garda Vetting, and resources which this governing body provides. It is a community voluntary group and a registered charity, supported by funding from Sligo County Council, the Arts Council of Ireland and the Sligo Arts Services.
