Description:
It was a protest of nearly 60,000 people to raise awareness of pollution. It was deviant because it was the first protest against pollution. They wanted to stop or decrease humanities environmental footprint. They did not face any risks except maybe some social backlash. It led to the creation of Earth Day and started a nationwide concern for the environment.
