Description:

This compromise declared Anglicanism as the official religion of England, however it was legal to be Catholic. It stated that people could convert to Anglicanism, but not to Catholicism. It led to a decline in Catholicism in England, but in a nonviolent way. This compromise returned England back to Protestantism.
