Description:
Apollo 26 lifted off on January 1st, 1978 and landed at Stevinus Crater on January 4th. The mission left Luna and returned to Earth on January 10th. During reentry, the RCS on the Command Module failed, sending the spacecraft into a spin and causing it to burn up in the atmosphere, killing all four astronauts. The mission was the last of the Apollo Program
