jan 1, 1946 - Unit 731 Aftermath
Description:
Shiro Ishii faked his own death to avoid being punished for war crimes. He was found in 1946 and sent to be interrogated by the United States. The U.S. wanted the information that Japan had gained from testing, as their experiments, unlike German experiments, had reached conclusions and were accurate in their information gathered. America also didn't want Russia to end up with the information, and so they agreed to grant immunity from war crimes to Shiro Ishii and workers of the unit. Most of the workers ended up becoming respected members of the medical field. This deal was kept a secret until the 1980's.
