jun 24, 1812 - ★ Napoleon invades Prussia and loses troops and battles

Description:

Napoleon with 450,000 soldiers marching to invade Prussia. Napoleon threatened the Prussian King of he formed an alliance with Britain. Alexander advised to be alert as they may invade France. Impatient, Napoleon went to send troops to invade Prussia because of suspicion that Prussia had an alliance with Poland, even though Poland had an alliance with France at the time. The Prussians avoided the troops stalling until the great battle outside of Moscow on the 7th of September. This battle, also called the Battle of Borodino resulted in approximately 44,00 Russians dead and 35,00 French soldiers also dead. Even though the French had won, the French persisted by Napoleon's orders. The French suffered in the harshness of the Russian Winter with no preparation or awareness and only 40,000 reaching back to France.
