Description:
The Texas troops travelled down to buffalo bayou. On April 20 texans camped in oak trees. The only way to attack them would be to cross the field in front of them. Santa Anna arrived at San Jacinto river that afternoon. Houston called a meeting of the texan army. They began to plan their attack. That next morning many Mexicans were awakened to the shouts “remember the Alamo!, Remember Goliad!!’” This battle only lasted 18 minutes. Many Mexicans tried to run or surrender. Texans continued to fight. 630 Mexican solders were killed and only 9 texans died.
