Description:
War between Israel and Egypt over Suez canal. Egypt goes to war to break the stalemate and regain Suez Canal due to financial losses. USA says no to persuading Israel to cooperate, USSR provides military aid to Egypt. Egypt and Syria attack on day of Jewish holiday (holy day) but are defeated again. However, Arab countries limit oil sales provoking the 1973 oil crisis and USA pressures Israel to accept peace treaty w/ Egypt. Arabs regain pride and respect + leads to Israel withdrawal from Sinai Peninsula (Suez).
