Description:

Tensions between Israel + Syria and Egypt. USSR tells Egypt to do something; Egypt blockades Gulf of Aqaba. This means no access to the Red Sea for Israel, who declares war on Egypt. Israel wins in 6 days. Israel then occupies areas in Egypt, Syria and Jordan and built settlements that still exist today. UN calls for withdrawal of Israel and Arab recognition of Israel (no reaction). No peace treaty, tensions in Suez and the Suez Canal is closed (financial loss for Egypt).
