Runaway Scrape-March 11, 1836 – Apr 21, 1836, When Sam Houston told the Texans to retreat so that he could train his army more, gather more people, and to get Santa Anna farther away from Mexico. Fearing for their lives, Texans fled eastward, leaving their farms and homes.
