apr 21, 1836 - Battle of San Jacinto

Description:

This battle was only 18 minutes long and was very well planned and executed. The Texans won the Battle of San Jacinto and gained its independence from Mexico! Early in the morning, when the Mexican army was tired and was resting, the Texans started firing and screaming "Remember Goliad" and "Remember the Alamo". The Texans won this battle and found Santa Anna trying to escape in a common soldiers uniform, but couldn't because Vince's Bridge was burned under Sam Houston's command.
