Gonzales-October 2nd, 1835, many Texans’ surprise attacked Mexico as they were asleep. ( Mexico was trying to take away a cannon from Goliad and the Texans refused to give it up. ) They had a flag that said “come and take it!” with a cannon on it. Texas won, and Mexico didn’t get the cannon.Added to timeline:
