It is known as the first major conflict because it had nine deaths. It happened during the siege of Bexar. SFA wanted to get a position closer to San Antonio he sent James Bowie and James Fannin. The Mexican general cos sent General Ugartechea and 250 men. 14 Mexicans killed and only one Texan.
