oct 28, 1835 - The Battle of Concepcion

Description:

On October 28, 1835, on the way to Bexar Stephan F. Austin ordered Bowie and Fannin to about 120 men to find a good place for the Army closer to Bexar. The men were supposed to come back in the evening but instead camped overnight near Mission Concepcion. The Mexicans decided to attack. The battle lasted 30 minutes. The Texans won and had only lost 1 of their men.
