Description:

On October 2, 1835, the Mexican Lieutenant Castañeda marched to the city of Gonzales to retrieve a cannon Spain gave to the Texans to protect themselves from Native American attacks. When Castañeda got there the people of Gonzales refused to give it up. It eventually resulted in a little skirmish between the two. After a small skirmish between them, the Texans won and the Texas Revolution had begun.
