mar 27, 1836 - Goliad Massacre
Description:
Even Though Urrea pleaded for mercy on the men who were in Goliad. The Mexican Government told Santa Ana that Texans would be Pirates instead of Prisoners of War. Which would mean the would be sentenced by death. So on March 27, 1836, 425 Texan Prisoners were marched onto a field and shot. Leading to what is today known as the Goliad massacre and for them back then a rallying cry in San Jacinto.
