The Hubble Space Telescope, launched aboard the space shuttle Discovery, was a unique and innovative way to see our solar system. With visible, infrared, and ultraviolet photo capability, the orbiting telescope runs off solar power to this day. Although it will decay by 2040, the Hubble will continue to provide NASA with revolutionary information- for now.
