Description:
Reported by the New York Times: Gallagher is accused of shooting "indiscriminately" at civilians and killing a teen Islamic State fighter with his knife before taking pictures with the corpse and performing a "re-enlistment" ceremony over it. He was charged with:
-attempted murder
-premeditated murder
-aggravated assault w/ dangerous weapon on non-combatants
- 3 counts of obstruction of justice
-wrongfully pose for an unofficial picture with human casualty
-wrongfully completing re-enlistment ceremony next to a human casualty
-wrongfully operate a drone over a human casualty
-wrongful use of a controlled substance (tramadol hydrochloride, an addictive narcotic-like painkiller)
-unlawful possession of a controlled substance (Sustanon-250, or testosterone)
Gallagher was also accused of threatening to kill other SEALs if they reported his crimes, but claims the accusations (brought by his own team) are made up by SEALs who are unable to meet his demands as a leader
