The Convention of 1836 was at Washington-on-the-Brazos. At the convention, there were 59 delegates. At the convention, David Burnet was named the interim president of Texas. Lorenza de Zavala was named the interim vice-president of Texas. During the convention, the Texas Declaration for Independence was written by George Childress and the Texas Constitution was written.
