One night a bunch of colonists went on to a ship on the harbor and poured over 300 boxes of tea in the ocean. This was all supposed to be secret but the British found out. All the colonists watched them in the act. Tea was one of the ways Britain got money. When people bought tea they paid taxes and gave money to Britain. Wen all the tea is gone there are no taxes.
